The company completed Irvine United School District’s Solis Park, a
$52.5 million K-8 school in Irvine, last summer; a $43.5 million Leed
Platinum Certified recreation center at Pomona-Pitzer College in the
fall; and will soon wrap up the $68.4 million new classroom building at
UC Santa Barbara. The firm is also breaking ground on a $100 million
high school in Malibu and a creative office building in Santa Monica.
The company recently celebrated its 104th year as a continually operating
construction firm. Roberts’s first job as a teenager in 1970 was
alongside his father, a superintendent at C.W. Driver. Roberts obtained
an ownership stake in the company in 1981 and assumed full ownership
in 1987.
