MVE Partners is currently designing a 45-story high-rise tower along Wilshire in the Miracle Mile neighborhood. The 530-foot structure will have five penthouses and 47 units dedicated to affordable housing. The company is also working on a redevelopment project in Long Beach dubbed Mosaic, which will feature both residential and commercial space. McLarand founded architecture firm MVE in 1974. The firm’s notable designs in Southern California include the Water Garden in Santa Monica and the Metro headquarters building in downtown. A USC graduate, McLarand holds professional affiliations with the American Institute of Architects, Urban Land Institute and National Association of Home Builders.
