President, Ahmanson Foundation
The Ahmanson Foundation reported assets of nearly $1.2 billion as of
October. With that money, it provides grants for arts and humanities,
education and health and human services in Los Angeles County. Before
joining the organization, Ahmanson worked in banking and wealth
management at Union Bank and Home Savings of America. He has received
several honors in recent years, such as the Access to Justice
Award from the Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles in 2018 and the
Cardinal’s Award from the Archdiocese of Los Angeles in 2017. Ahmanson
has served on boards at California Institute of Technology, Los
Angeles County Museum of Art and the Petersen Automotive Museum.
