David Ahn has joined Deloitte & Touche LLP in Los Angeles as a manager in the national creative tax services group. Also, Shawn Bjorkland has been named a senior in the international tax group.

Christie Birsa has been named art director at Colby Effler & Partners in Santa Monica. Birsa was previously with Cole & Weber in Seattle.

Imagistic Media Studios in Venice has announced three new hires: Sharon Eisenberg as business development executive, Tim Stanton as producer, and Matthew Gilbert as associate producer. Eisenberg will oversee and manage all new and existing business deals. Stanton will manage Web projects and lead Web development teams. Gilbert will coordinate Web development and serve as client liaison on projects.

Architecture

Ray Landy was promoted to vice president and practice manager for DMJM’s construction and facilities management practice in Los Angeles. His responsibilities include managing projects for domestic and overseas clients in defense, aerospace and urban planning. Landy was previously a site director.

Banking & Finance

Randal Hernandez has been named vice president of government relations for Bank of America in Los Angeles. He will be responsible for local government affairs and will assist with community and corporate contributions in Southern California. Hernandez was previously chief of staff for Long Beach Mayor Beverly O’Neill.

Ole Larsen has been named head of planning and administration for the California community and retail banking group of Sanwa Bank in Los Angeles. He will oversee sales and marketing support, delivery strategy, and group credit departments. Larsen was previously executive vice president at Sumitomo Bank of California.

Development

Steven Ross was named director of planning for Playa Vista. He will assist the direction of engineering and planning consultants in development of the second phase of the project. Ross was most recently senior project manager for the planning center in Newport Beach.

Entertainment

Marjorie Fieldman was appointed senior vice president of financial operations for Universal Music Group, North America in Universal City. Her responsibilities include overseeing integration of financial systems. Fieldman was most recently senior vice president of finance and administration with A & M; Records.

Ruben Norte has been named West Coast director of production and senior producer of On the Scene Productions in Los Angeles. He will be in charge of electronic media production. Norte was previously a freelance producer for network television.

Ted Rae was named in-house director of visual effects for Foundation Imaging in Valencia. He is currently supervising visual effects for “Saint Patrick, The Irish Legend” for the Fox Family Channel. Rae was previously co-visual effects supervisor for TriStar’s “Idle Hands.”

Kajsa Vikman has been named product marketing manager for Artisan Home Entertainment in Santa Monica. She will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans for all sell-through video releases. Vikman was previously assistant brand manager for Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. Also, Linde Lantion was named Web manager. She will design and implement the database of video and DVD titles and maintain the company Web site.

Troy Westergaard has been appointed a development executive with Merv Griffin Entertainment in Beverly Hills. He will be involved in the development and sales of TV series and movies of the week. Westergaard was previously director of development of movies and series for Katie Face Productions.

Health Care

Howard Cohen was promoted to vice president of corporate applications for WellPoint Health Networks Inc. in Thousand Oaks. His responsibilities will include maintaining and developing mainframe and client server-based data. Cohen was most recently director of large group systems.

Terry Gordon has been named vice president of sales for HealthNet’s Southern California region in Woodland Hills. She will be responsible for all mid-market and small group sales and account management from San Diego to Santa Barbara counties. Gordon was previously director of large group sales for Kaiser Permanente.

Jeanne Jagatich-Fisher has been promoted to vice president of risk, quality integration and corporate responsibility at Daniel Freeman Hospitals, based in Long Beach. She will oversee workers compensation, insurance programs and claim management areas. Jagatich-Fisher was most recently corporate director of risk control and quality improvement. Also, Susan Baker Ducey has been promoted to the new post of vice president of business planning and community development. Baker Ducey was previously corporate director of marketing and public relations.

Gordon Walker was appointed vice president of sales and marketing for Western Dental Services Inc. in Garden Grove. He will be responsible for directing all sales and marketing activities. Walker was previously president and chief executive of Future Call Group Inc.

High Tech

John Baldwin has been promoted to senior vice president of product management and strategic business development of Artemis Management Systems in Los Angeles. He is responsible for product business strategy and overall product management. Baldwin was most recently vice president.

Hospitality

Anne Cole was named vice president of distribution systems development for Hilton Reservations Worldwide in Beverly Hills. Cole was most recently director of marketing automation for Hilton Hotels Corp.

Insurance

Pam McSmith has been promoted to regional vice president of Zurich U.S. in Los Angeles. She will coordinate delivery of products and services to clients, and help build and maintain distributor and customer relations. McSmith was previously regional manager.

Law

Dale Bonner has joined Hogan & Hartson LLP in Los Angeles as counsel resident. He will manage the firm’s California health practice. Bonner previously served as commissioner of the California Department of Corporations.

Eva Herbst Davis has joined Kirkland & Ellis in Los Angeles as a partner. She will be a founding member of the firm’s corporate office and will practice in the areas of corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions. Davis was previously a partner with Latham & Watkins.

Ron Goldie has joined Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP in Los Angeles as partner. He will practice in the areas of general corporate, transactional and business law. Goldie was previously with Stroock & Stroock & Lavan.

John Morrissey has been named managing partner for the Los Angeles office of McCutchen, Doyle, Brown & Enersen LLP. His practice focuses on securities, real estate, and copyright and trade secret litigation matters. Morrissey was previously a partner with the firm.

Manufacturing

Christopher Bernhardt was appointed president of Litton Industries’ data systems division in Woodland Hills. He will oversee executive management, marketing, operations, strategic planning, advanced systems, corporate development, program management and engineering. Bernhardt was most recently vice president of business operations and development for the guidance and control systems division.

Kathy Trullender has been named vice president of affiliate relations for Intertainer Inc. in Culver City. She will be responsible for development of affiliate databases and marketing. Trullender was previously vice president of sales operations at Fox/Liberty Networks.

Personnel

Nancy Reynolds was promoted to senior vice president and general manager of Lee Hecht Harrison in Pasadena. She is responsible for marketing, sales and career services for organizations in Pasadena and the Greater Los Angeles area. Reynolds was previously vice president of human resources for American Residential Mortgage Corp. in La Jolla.

Public Relations

Stephanie Bradfield has joined Apco Associates as head of the agency’s new Los Angeles office. She will work closely with co-managing directors in the areas of strategic communications and issues management. Bradfield was previously Los Angeles deputy mayor.

Julie Buckner Levy and Sarah Ingram have been hired as vice presidents of Rogers & Associates in Los Angeles. Both will oversee public affairs programs and activities for public and private sector clients. Buckner was previously a managing supervisor for public affairs at Fleishman-Hillard. Ingram was most recently director of the Widmeyer-Baker Group office in Los Angeles.

Real Estate

Thomas Fadel has joined Morlin Management Corp. in Los Angeles as assistant vice president and portfolio manager. His responsibilities will include project management and new business development. Fadel was previously director of property management services for Hayes and Co. in Pasadena.
