Executive Director, Port of Long Beach

The Port of Long Beach is one of the busiest in the country. Cordero became executive director at the Port of Long Beach in 2017. He was appointed to the Federal Maritime Commission by President Barack Obama in 2011. Cordero previously spent more than 30 years practicing law with a focus on workers’ compensation cases. In 2020, Cordero was appointed chairman of American Association of Port Authoritites and named to the board of the Los Angeles branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco.
