Grazer has been a top-of-Hollywood producing fixture for decades. Imagine launched an audio division in December and signed a long-term producing deal with Apple Studios early last year. Published reports this year suggest a private equity firm is negotiating to buy 70% for $600 million or more of the company that made “Apollo 13” and “A Beautiful Mind.” In 2016, merchant bank Raine Group bought a minority stake. Imagine mostly works inside the Hollywood studio system developing projects distributed by the major companies. Grazer’s partnership in Imagine with multi-hyphenate director Ron Howard goes back 37 years, one of Hollywood’s most enduring.
