Chief Executive, Lions Gate Entertainment Corp.
Feltheimer built Hollywood’s largest film and TV independent studio that now must compete in a land of giants, after peer MGM sold to Amazon as mergers sweep through the industry. Lions Gate’s champion in the all-important video streaming wars is its middle-of-the-pack Starz, around which there are rumors that the company might do a spinoff. Last summer, Lions Gate bought 20% of Spyglass Media, providing access to the Weinstein Co. content library. A year ago, Lions Gate raised $125 million selling its stake in a Spanish-language streamer aimed at Latin America. Feltheimer has been chief since 2000, an unusually long tenure in the churn of Hollywood.
