Partner, A-Grade Investments, Sound Ventures
Kutcher has completed a rare but successful transition from actor to venture capitalist and can point to early investments in Uber Technologies Inc. and Airbnb Inc. to prove it. The former “That ’70s Show” star launched sound Ventures with entertainment executive Guy Oseary in 2015. The firm revealed in 2020 that it was raising a $150 million third fund and last year began raising a seperate fund focused on blockchain investments. Recent exits for the firm include software developer GitLab Inc. and Santa Monica-based Bird Global Inc., both of which went public in 2021. Before starting Sound Ventures, Kutcher co-founded A-Grade Investments in 2010 with Oseary and veteran investor Ron Burkle.
