A story in the March 10 issue cited an incorrect amount of taxes CareAmerica would owe the City of Los Angeles if the health maintenance organization were fully taxed on all its premium revenue under the city’s existing “gross receipts” tax structure. The correct amount, based on CareAmerica’s total 1995 premium revenue of $457 million, is $2.7 million.
