After more than a decade in HR, recruiting, and workforce planning for companies such as Broadcom and Option One, Annie Mark came to Howard Building Corporation in 2017 to help jumpstart its HR Department. From analyzing employee surveys and building new programs like HBC University and Wellness out of the data, to helping HBC control vendor contracts, launch new benefits, and implement a new HRIS and payroll system, she has been an instrumental administrator behind the scenes while taking every necessary moment for employee-owners’ individual needs.
Mark is deeply passionate about the welfare of HBC employees, and has built a robust Wellness Committee to address wellness-related topics and concerns. Last May, she developed a month-long educational campaign surrounding mental health awareness. In addition to webinars and other learning events hosted throughout the month, employees participated in a succulent planting event to help spur community and decrease stress.Â
