The Hong Kong-based company, which operates 35 hotels and seven residences as part of the Jardine Matheson Group, is opening its first residential-only project on the West Coast with the Mandarin Oriental Residences. The project is scheduled to open in 2022 at 9200 Wilshire Blvd.
Once completed, it will have 54 residential units, each with outdoor space. Amenities at the property will include a fitness and wellness center with spa treatments, a salon, a library and a rooftop pool with a bar and lounge.
The interior design is being handled by 1508 London. Daniel Boulud, a Michelin-starred chef with multiple restaurants in New York, is also making his West Coast debut at the property. He will run its ground-floor restaurant, as well as the Mandarin Oriental Residences’ rooftop lounge and bar. The menus will be available for in-home dining.
Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group will manage the property, while New York-based SHVO and Denver-based Deutsche Finance America serve as owners and developers.
SHVO is also developing the Mandarin Oriental Residences at 685 5th Ave. in New York.
“In partnership with Mandarin Oriental, we are creating one of the most exclusive residential properties in the heart of Beverly Hills, bringing together several of the world’s most coveted brands and partners to create a new standard of luxury living,” Michael Shvo, founder, chairman and chief executive of SHVO, said in a statement.
