Frances Ellington Gutierrez, DBA, CPA, is a partner and the State and Local Tax Practice leader at GHJ. Her leadership has not only driven significant growth for the State and Local Tax Practice but has also positioned GHJ as a leading firm and established Frances as a leader in the accounting industry.
Gutierrez provides expert guidance on tax audit controversy, nexus and reporting requirements and state tax planning initiatives. She specializes in multistate income and franchise tax, indirect tax and credits and incentives. Her leadership has driven innovation and excellence within the practice. She brings over 10 years of state and local tax experience with Big Four and multinational corporations, including international rotations in Hyderabad and New Delhi, where she provided training and development to team members in India. This experience has been instrumental as GHJ has grown to become a national firm with clients around the world.
