Tinder, a West Hollywood-based mobile dating app that allows users to locate other singles in their geographic area, has launched a new user experience highlighting music festival destinations.
The feature, called “Festival Mode,” launched May 2 and will help connect music fans before they arrive at music festivals throughout 2019.
Users will be able to add a badge to their profile when they plan to attend a festival.
From there, they have the ability to match and chat with other users attending the same event before they arrive.
The Tinder feature will be available for several leading music festivals, including those sponsored by Beverly Hills-based events promoter and venue operator Live Nation. Among the festivals Tinder plans to support are the Electric Daisy Carnival, May 17-19 in Las Vegas; the Governors Ball Music Festival, May 31 – June 2 in New York; and Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival, June 13-16, in Manchester, Tenn.
“It’s no secret that Tinder is a must-have app for singles attending music festivals around the world,” said Jenny Campbell, chief marketing officer of Tinder, in a prepared statement.
