Falcon Heavy Launch Goes as Planned; Two Cores Recovered
SpaceX launched a Falcon Heavy rocket carrying 24 satellites from Kennedy Space Center early this morning. After a successful launch, two of the rocket’s three cores were recovered. The Falcon Heavy was expected to launch 24 satellites into three different orbits.
Retina Launches AI Tools for Ecommerce Businesses
Santa Monica-based Retina AI Inc. launched a new tool to help smaller online commerce companies analyze and manage their customer data. Socaltech reports Retina AI has already signed up Marina del Rey-based Dollar Shave Club Inc. to use the software. Retina is backed by Comcast Ventures.
Quibi Announces More Forthcoming Content
Jeffrey Katzenberg and Meg Whitman’s forthcoming short-form video service Quibi will feature a comedy show produced by writers and producers of “Saturday Night Live,” according to Variety. Lorne Michaels’ production company and Seth Meyers will co-produce the “Mapleworth Murders,” which will debut when Quibi launches in April 2020.
