Pod Gets $2.5M for AtlasJobs

Pod, a technology company based in Manhattan Beach that is focused on improving hiring practices, announced the closure of a $2.5 million funding round for its cloud computing platform, AtlasJobs. The funding round was led by PACA Ventures and brings the total investment in Pod to $7.5 million.

AtlasJobs, which launched this year, was developed with the goal of building access to talent and serving as a talent engagement and management site. The platform delivers an interactive job-finding experience allowing its users to discover, explore, and engage directly with career opportunities such as full-time or part-time jobs, internships and mentorships.

“We believe AtlasJobs is a revolutionary technology for a new generation of job-seekers,” said Jo Webber, chief executive of Pod. “This funding round will help us further expand our customer base in the United States and expand globally in support of our multinational clients.”

According to data released by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics this month, the national unemployment rate increased to 3.7% in October, and the number of unemployed people rose by 306,000, to 6.1 million.

Pod said that AtlasJobs is helping companies address those staffing shortages and recruiting challenges withs a mobile-first interactive job-seeker experience that enables companies to position themselves as employers of choice.

Both the AtlasJobs web and mobile platforms use a map-centric search mechanisms and artificial intelligence technology to meet possible tech employees wherever they are in the world and gives job seekers the opportunity to send employers a video introduction.

Employers can view how much traction their job post is getting based on views and clicks to gain insight on what job seekers are looking.
