Chatsworth Products Inc., based in Westlake Village, announced Sept. 17 it received three innovation awards from the annual Cabling Installation and Maintenance Innovators Awards.

The Clik-Nut Hardware Kit manufactured and distributed by CPI and built for rack installation without tools was the gold honoree in the distribution and routing equipment category. Chatsworth Products’ April 2018 work to remodel Anthem Inc.’s data center in Richmond, Va., earned CPI a gold honoree award in the project category. According to a CPI case study tracking the project, Anthem was able to reduce cooling costs by 50 percent and remodel 1,000 cabinets. CPI’s electronic access control system eConnect was awarded a silver honoree mention in the cable protection and management category; the system helps companies monitor data center environment, manage power, and physically access or lock centers.

The awards, sponsored by Building Industry Consulting Service International and the Cabling Installation and Maintenance magazine, were held Sept. 10 in Austin, Texas.

To evaluate products, a panel of cabling and communications designers and managers judged them according to user value; sustainability; defined needs met; innovation; and impact.
