Although known for its film and television industry, Los Angeles has a thriving community of companies in the gaming and electronic sports sector. Not only do several industry giants call Los Angeles home, but major franchises such as “Call of Duty” and “Uncharted” came from local developers and publishers.

In addition to titans such as Santa Monica-based Activision Blizzard Inc. and Sawtelle-based Riot Games Inc., the city has a wealth of up-and-coming gaming and esports companies gathering funding, growing their teams and releasing new games.
