Nichols co-founded MaC Venture Capital in 2019 with former Washington Mayor Adrian Fenty, talent agent Charles D. King and entrepreneur and investor Michael Palank. The firm makes seed-stage investments in budding technology startups capitalizing on shifts in consumer behavior. The firm formed out of a merger between M Ventures and Cross Culture Ventures, the latter of which Nichols co-founded in 2015. Some of his current and previous portfolio companies include MongoDB, Pipe, Gimlet Media, Thrive Market, PlayVS, Wonderschool, Blavity and Spill. Nichols was previously the investment director at Intel Capital and serves on the board of the Kauffman Fellows program, where he has helped grow the representation of minorities by 175% over the past four years.
