Spiegel co-founded Snap in 2011 while enrolled as a student at Stanford University. The company and its signature app, Snapchat, took off quickly and now boasts more than 750 million monthly active users. The Santa Monica-based company, which went public in 2017, continues to launch innovative products like My AI and AR Enterprise Services, and also supports an ecosystem of smaller companies and developers through partner programs and a startup accelerator program called Yellow. In 2017, Spiegel formed the Spiegel Family Fund, which supports multiple organizations that contribute to human progress.
