Partner, A-Grade Investments, Sound Ventures
Kutcher has completed a rare but successful transition from actor to venture capitalist and can point to early investments in Uber Technologies Inc. and Airbnb Inc. to prove it. The former “That ’70s Show” star launched Sound Ventures with entertainment executive Guy Oseary in 2015. The firm has invested in more than 200 early-stage tech companies and had about 35 exits to date, including software developer GitLab Inc. and then-Santa Monica-based Bird Global Inc., both of which went public in 2021. Before starting Sound Ventures, Kutcher co-founded A-Grade Investments in 2010 with Oseary and veteran investor Ron Burkle.
