Snead, who’s been the football team’s general manager since 2012, has taken an unusual path to success. Instead of building a team through high picks in the college draft, Sneed has traded away first-round selections to obtain the right players at the right time. The result was last year’s Super Bowl championship, shored up with key in-season acquisitions. Although the 2022-23 season was a dismal one for the team, Snead was signed to a contract extension that will keep him as general manager through 2026. Because of his close relationship with head coach Sean McVay, the two have been reference as “McSneed.” McVay’s contract last year also was extended through 2026.
