Founder, Black Equities
Black founded Beverly Hills-based Black Equities with his son Jack in 1985. The company owns 20 million square feet of commercial real estate. A native Angeleno who served in the U.S. Navy, Black has more than 65 years of experience as a real estate developer and owner. He co-founded KB Development and Management, which developed more than 60 projects in Southern California from 1955 to 1975. During his time as president, he oversaw a staff of roughly 200. In 1989, Black and his late wife founded the Stanley and Joyce Black Family Foundation, which has granted more than $60 million to organizations helping underserved communities locally and internationally.
