New Local Head for EY

Andy Park taking over West Coast region.

Andy Park, who has led Ernst & Young’s Los Angeles office for the past five years,
has been promoted to a newly created regional post overseeing market strategy for the firm’s 14 offices across the West.

As West markets managing partner, Park will set the direction for how the big four accounting and consulting firm pursues clients throughout the region. Succeeding him is Scott Porter, a longtime EY technology partner who took over the local office Oct. 1.

Park’s elevation caps a tenure in which he guided the office through two of the region’s most disruptive stretches in recent memory: the COVID-19 pandemic and the January 2025 wildfires. He also pushed the firm to back L.A.’s emerging technology sector, groundwork for a new EY practice aimed at Southern California’s aerospace, artificial intelligence and robotics companies.

Beyond the firm, Park became a prominent figure in the city’s civic and business circles, serving as board chair of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce and on the boards of the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles and the Los Angeles Philharmonic.

Tech-heavy background

His successor brings a tech-heavy resume to the role. Porter has spent more than three decades advising public and private technology companies on audit, operations and consulting matters, with assignments across the Americas, Europe and Asia. A graduate of University of Southern California and Harvard University, he has led the local edition of EY’s Entrepreneur of the Year program and has been involved with the Los Angeles World Affairs Council, USC’s Marshall School of Business and the Los Angeles County Economic Development Corp.

“Los Angeles is one of the world’s most dynamic business markets, driven by innovation, entrepreneurship and exceptional talent,” Porter said in a statement. He said he intends to build on the groundwork Park laid and “help strengthen the connections between our clients, our professionals and the communities we serve.”
