Exclusive: ThinkLA Awards Revealed

Marina del Rey-based ThinkLA hosted its 2026 IDEA Awards gala on Wednesday, handing out 15 awards and honoring several new Hall of Fame inductees.

Marina del Rey-based ThinkLA recognized a series of Los Angeles-area advertising and marketing agencies at its IDEA Awards gala in Beverly Hills on Wednesday night.

The 20-year-old trade association for L.A.’s advertising and marketing community also inducted its latest Hall of Fame honorees at the ceremony, which was held at the Beverly Hilton.

“The IDEA Awards are where we bring the community together to recognize the endlessly creative work across agencies, verticals and brands,” said Don Lupo, executive director of ThinkLA. “It’s a perfect way to celebrate our 20th year of serving the Los Angeles community.”

New York-based Kargo won the Partner of the Year Award, with its Los Angeles-based senior account executive Dmytri Johnson also winning Sales Person of the Year. Additionally, Joelle Krakower, director of digital investment for El Segundo-based Canvas Worldwide, won the Agency Leader of the Year award.

The organization handed out the following campaign awards:

  • Best Brand Content Campaign to El Segundo-based David&Goliath, for its campaign with Jollibee and the L.A.-based band Katseye
  • Best Cause Marketing Campaign to Brentwood-based Wonderful Agency, the in-house marketing agency for agriculture giant The Wonderful Co., for its “The Boy and the Bot” campaign
  • Best Entertainment Campaign to El Segundo-based Liquid Advertising for its campaign for the video game ARC Raiders
  • Best Short Form Video to Beverly Hills-based Party Land for its “Love the Way You Look” campaign for Men’s Wearhouse
  • Campaign of the Year: Partner to the pairing of LG Ad Solutions and Long Beach-based interTrend Communications for “GRIP: A Toyota Movie”
  • Campaign of the Year: Agency to Playa Vista-based Deutsch for “The Last Hater”
  • Best Auto Campaign to Innocean USA for its “Deals so right, it almost feels wrong” campaign
  • Best Audio Campaign to Hyundai Motor America for its campaign featuring the Hyundai Palisade and the “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend” podcast
  • Best Out of Home Campaign to Innocean for “The Towel Coupon”
  • Best Social Media Campaign to Saatchi & Saatchi for “Minivan Mom Stigma”
  • ThinkLA Innovator to Saatchi & Saatchi for “#UncensorYourHealth”

ThinkLA considered more than 70 finalists this year.

The organization’s Hall of Fame honorees this year included David Angelo, the founder and creative chair of Daivd&Goliath; Kim Getty, the chief executive of Deutsch; Eric Johnson, the founder of Manhattan Beach-based Ignited; and Aaron Walton, chief executive of Culver City-based Walton Isaacson.
