Dogdrop, a membership-based doggy daycare, recently opened a new store in Hollywood after signing an eight-year lease on its second location in California.
Located at 1724 N. Highland Ave. #250, the 2,250-square-foot store is a corporate-owned outpost and marks the brand’s third total location. It will be managed by Jennifer Claypool, a former trainer of service dogs.
“I am so excited to be able to be a part of a brand as innovative and caring as Dogdrop,” Claypool said in a statement. “I have always had a passion for helping animals, especially dogs, so I jumped at the chance to be a part of (the) growing brand.”
The daycare sits in the heart of Hollywood, just one block away from The Hollywood Museum and the TCL Chinese Theatre.
“Our new Hollywood location is right in the city center, close to many tourist attractions, restaurants, theaters, shops and fun nightlife, creating the need for a safe and accessible dog daycare provider,” Claypool said.
The new Dogdrop location will provide on-demand dog daycare services, allowing pet parents to leave their dogs in a safe and secure environment while they work, run errands or enjoy leisure time.
Dogs will have the opportunity to exercise, socialize and receive basic training under the supervision of staff, according to Dogdrop. The store will also offer a range of dog essentials for sale, including on-the-go wipes, compostable waste bags and food bowls.Â
Dogdrop advertises services including curbside drop-off and pickup in under 90 seconds, real-time text updates and CPR-certified staff.
Use of the daycare is billed in 30-minute increments with a daily capped rate of $50. Members can opt for loyalty or unlimited membership options based on their anticipated frequency of use.
“Since the launch of our inaugural Los Angeles location, we’ve witnessed a surge in demand for our dog-care services within mid- to high-density neighborhoods,” Shaina Denny, co-founder and chief executive of Dogdrop, said in a statement. “The opening of our Hollywood location will be a great addition to our growing list of locations.”
Woman-founded start-up Dogdrop, which has headquarters downtown in the Arts District, also has a location in Denver and one coming soon to Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.
