ManifestSeven Purchases Cannabis Delivery Service
ManifestSeven purchased M Delivers and a 1-800-Cannabis phone number.

Commerce-based cannabis logistics company ManifestSeven, formerly known as MJIC Inc., purchased San Diego-based marijuana delivery service M Delivers to help scale its distribution operation statewide.

Separately, the firm acquired the 1-800-Cannabis telephone number from a private investor who company officials declined to identify. The phone number is already on billboards in some areas of California and the company will use it as a consumer-facing marketing tool.

Terms of the two financial transactions were not disclosed.

M Delivers, which is based just south of the Montgomery-Gibbs Executive Airport in San Diego, has roughly 50 employees, including about half a dozen phone operators. ManifestSeven said the delivery service has approximately 30,000 customers and delivers cannabis and other products along the coastal part of San Diego County stretching from Oceanside to the U.S.-Mexico border. ManifestSeven plans to roll out M Delivers services in the rest of the state, particularly in areas where ManifestSeven already has operating licenses, including parts of the Bay Area and Orange County.

“Our strategy is to deliver the product all over,” Pierre Rouleau, chief operating officer of ManifestSeven, said in an interview.

Christine Bordenvae, formerly chief executive officer of M Delivers, will serve as ManifestSeven’s director of delivery operations in California.
