Local Mall Lands New Clothes Shop

Italian clothing retailer Roberto Cavalli launches a new store in the Beverly Center.

Roberto Cavalli, an Italian retailer of women’s and men’s clothing and accessories, has opened its first store in Los Angeles.

The Florence, Italy-based chain of 28 stores said that the new boutique, located at the Beverly Center, represents another step towards the brand’s expansion in North America. It also has stores in Miami, New York and Las Vegas.

Sergio Azzolari, chief executive of Roberto Cavalli, said that the opening of the first boutique in Los Angeles is a significant milestone for the retailer in a strategic market like the American one.

“Los Angeles, with its vibrant energy and key role in the fashion and luxury industry, is a destination where the brand must be present,” Azzolari said in a statement.

Beverly Center ‘perfect home’ for clothing brand

Inside the boutique, which spans an area of nearly 2,500 square feet, visitors can explore men’s and women’s ready-to-wear collections, along with a selection of accessories, eyewear, fragrances, and Roberto Cavalli

couture creations.

Brian Parent, general manager at Beverly Center, told Women’s Wear Daily, a fashion industry trade journal, that the mall was excited to welcome Cavalli’s first Los Angeles store as the brand embarks on a new phase of its U.S. retail expansion.

“Our iconic venue – a landmark in the heart of Los Angeles since the early ’80s – proved to be the perfect home for this bold, luxury brand,” Parent was quoted in the March 13 story. “It’s inspiring to see Roberto Cavalli seamlessly integrate into our vibrant luxury tenant mix.”
