In one of L.A.’s largest office leases of the year, Verve Talent and Literary Agency has signed a new 53,000-square-foot lease at a creative office campus, officially relocating the agency’s global headquarters from Miracle Mile to Hollywood.

The five-story campus named BA/SE, located at 6555 Barton and 959 Seward, is a class A, creative office campus which first debuted in the Hollywood Media District in 2015.

Verve expects to move into its new office space next month, following recent renovations to the campus.

The new lease was announced by Lincoln Property Co., which acquired the campus for $186 million in late 2020 from J.H. Snyder Co. following the passing of senior partner and prolific L.A. real estate developer Jerry Snyder.

At the time of the purchase, the property was less than half leased, presumably due to the anxieties many people had about the future of the office market.

But Lincoln Property Co. remained optimistic about the purchase, illustrating both entertainment industry strength during the pandemic, as well as confidence in the low-rise campus environment with significant outdoor space.

“Given its prime location in the heart of Hollywood and its creative campus environment, we saw this as an opportunistic investment with tremendous upside as the market recovers (from Covid-19),” Rob Krane, executive vice president of Lincoln’s Southern California operations, said in a statement on why the company purchased the property during such financially stressed times.
