Colin Diaz has been named the new chief executive of the Culver City Chamber of Commerce, replacing Steven Rose, who is retiring after 30 years at the helm.
Diaz, who just turned 36, was most recently sales and marketing director for the Santa Fe Springs Chamber of Commerce. He previously held marketing posts at several companies in the sports, entertainment and hospitality sectors.
“Colin’s leadership skills and chamber experience will bring continued success to the Culver City Chamber as we begin a new era after three decades of Steve’s unique leadership style,” Board Chair Paul Goldstein said in a statement announcing Diaz’ appointment.
Diaz starts his tenure as chief executive on Nov. 13.
He said his goals included educating Culver City businesses and residents on the work the chamber does and helping local businesses grow.
“Chambers still represent one the most consistently supportive voices for business in a community,” he said. “So to be chosen to stand at the forefront of that voice is a great honor, one that I do not take lightly.”
