Online Marketplace RealReal Expands in Santa Monica
RealReal’s future location at 200 26th St. in Santa Monica.

Luxury resale online marketplace operator RealReal Inc. has signed a lease for a new storefront in Santa Monica. The store is expected to open Nov. 19.

The lease is for 2,200 square feet at 200 26th St. near the Brentwood Country Mart.
Kennedy Wilson Properties Ltd.’s Ed Sachse and Christine Deschaine represented the landlord, Auerbach Realty, in the lease. RealReal was represented by Winick Realty Group’s Lee Block.

“This location at 26th and San Vicente is perfect for The RealReal,” Deschaine said in a statement. “With great reflective retail across the street at the Brentwood Country Mart and an affluent customer base in the immediate neighborhood, The RealReal is joining an established shopping and dining district that will attract their target customer for years to come.”

Other nearby retailers include Nordstrom Local, Goop, Theory, Christian Louboutin and James Perse.

It will be RealReal’s first new store in L.A. since 2018.
“We’ve seen The RealReal’s success in bringing its unique online experience to luxury consumers at physical locations in key markets across the U.S.,” Sachse said in a statement. “By leasing this highly visible space in Brentwood, The RealReal’s avid followers on the Westside now have the option to view and purchase merchandise in-store.”

RealReal, based in San Francisco, has grown drastically since its founding in 2011. The company now has more than 23 million members. The company recently expanded into luxury sports and outdoor gear.
