Brentwood-based Lowe, formerly Lowe Enterprises, has formed a new commercial brokerage firm that will focus on office, retail, industrial and hotel properties.

The firm, which will be known as Skye Commercial, will be based in Denver, where Lowe has had a regional office since 1985.

“Creating an independent brokerage company continues Lowe’s initiative to build a differentiated, full-service commercial real estate platform that prioritizes personalized client service and that values customization,” Mike Lowe, co-chief executive of Lowe, said in a statement.

The brokerage will boost Lowe’s offerings. The real estate company’s other businesses include Concord Communities, an affordable housing investor and developer, and CoralTree Hospitality, a hotel and resort management company. Lowe is also behind Hospitality at Work, a property management company.

In 2019, the group acquired Rise Commercial. The Rise brokerage team, based in Denver, will be part of Skye Commercial.

Skye Commercial will be led by managing broker Alec Wynne, a real estate veteran with more than 22 years of experience in commercial real estate.

Wynne previously served as a managing director and principal at Ascendant Realty. Prior to that, he was the managing director for Avison Young Inc.’s Denver office. He opened the office in 2012 with 11 professionals and grew the team to 26.

Wynne has worked on more than 7 million square feet of real estate worth $3 billion over the course of his career.

“Alec is a highly respected industry professional who is well suited to guide Skye Commercial and build on our mission of creating a high-touch, customer-focused brokerage firm that will succeed by bringing a model of diversity and teamwork to its engagements,” Marty Caverly, executive vice president at Lowe, said in a statement.

Wynne is joined by Terrence Pace, CJ Valencia, Bill Woodward and Linda Ka.
