Cerritos-based KabaFusion has expanded by acquiring the home infusion operations of Lincare Holdings Inc. of Clearwater, Fla., for an undisclosed sum.

The deal was announced on March 4 by KabaFusion, which is owned by Chicago-based private equity firm Pritzker Private Capital.

Lincare Holdings also sells home medical equipment and was the U.S. subsidiary of Britain-based industrial gases and engineering company Linde.

KabaFusion was founded in 2010 by home infusion industry pioneer Sohail Masood and has a network of pharmacies in seven states that provide the equipment, basic liquid solutions and nurse personnel for infusion therapies administered at home.

Masood founded his first home infusion company, Ultracare, in 1992. That company was acquired six years later by industry giant Apria Healthcare Group Inc..

The deal with Lincare significantly expands KabaFusion’s geographic footprint. The combined operation now has 28 pharmacies in 15 states, according to the announcement.

KabaFusion now has roughly 900 employees, according to Pritzker Private Capital.
