Charter Jet Service Heads for San Jose

Public charter operator JetSuiteX plans to add service next month from Hollywood Burbank Airport to San Jose International Airport.

JetSuiteX said last week it will begin the flights on Sept. 12 with a dozen flights offered each week aboard 30-seat regional aircrafts, with a starting fare of $129 each way.

“We created JetSuiteX with people who fly this route in mind – those time-starved travelers who want to get to and from meetings or events in Silicon Valley or Hollywood and still make it home in time for dinner,” said Alex Wilcox, founder and chief executive of the Irvine-based company. “Our customers get to arrive refreshed when they skip things like arriving up to two hours before an hourlong flight, getting herded through lines or feeling the discomfort of boarding a plane with 100 other people.”

JetSuiteX began its public charter service in April of last year, offering passengers the speed and comfort associated with private jet travel for prices similar to commercial airlines. It has been focusing on West Coast markets; among its flight offerings is a service from Hollywood Burbank Airport to Concord in the East Bay area.
