Hearst Media Production Group has signed a 10-year lease at 655 N. Central Ave. in Glendale.
The announcement was made by DivcoWest, the owner of the building.
Hearst Media is a business unit of Hearst Television and produces and distributes original programming for broadcast and cable television and streaming services. It also has offices in New York, Washington, D.C. and Charlotte, North Carolina.
The lease for just more than 20,000 square feet allows Hearst Media to move from a facility in Burbank and expand its West Coast operations.Â
“We’re delighted to partner with Hearst Media and do our part to help its leadership realize the vision of expanding in a high-profile, state-of-the-art facility that provides its employees with a full range of amenities,” Jared Crowley, senior director of investments at DivcoWest, said in a statement.Â
655 N. Central is a 549,000-square-foot 24-story office tower; it was formerly known as Glendale Plaza.Â
It was renovated in 2018 and features a conference/event center and a fitness room with full equipment including Peloton bikes, showers, and lockers.
The building also has an adjacent eight-level parking garage with EV charging and has maximum visibility at the intersection of Central Avenue and the Ventura Freeway.
DivcoWest is a subsidiary of DivCore Capital and is based in San Francisco. It is a vertically integrated real estate investment firm with offices in Austin, Texas, Cambridge, Massachusetts, Los Angeles, Menlo Park, New York City and Washington DC.
The company owns five other properties in the Los Angeles area.
