OSI Systems Inc. has received two contracts with a combined value of $12 million from two unnamed health care customers.
The Hawthorne electronic components manufacturer said on Oct. 30 that its health care division, Spacelabs Healthcare, had received an order valued at $6 million to provide patient monitoring products and related supplies and accessories to a U.S.-based hospital system.
The products will include Xhibit Central Stations, Xprezzon bedside monitors, Qube portable patient monitors and the ICS G2 clinical information system, including SafeNSound alarm management features.
Deepak Chopra, OSI Systems chief executive, said the company was pleased to collaborate with the health care provider and upgrade its existing patient monitoring systems and integrate OSI’s latest clinical information and process workflow technology into its operations.
On Oct. 31, the company said that its Optoelectronics and Manufacturing division received an order for $6 million from a leading health care original equipment manufacturer to provide optical sensors for use in its patient care devices.
“We are pleased to receive this order and look forward to supporting this long-standing customer,” Chopra said in a statement.
On Oct. 24, the company reported its fiscal year 2025 first quarter earnings.
OSI reported an adjusted net income of $21.3 million ($1.25 a share) for the quarter ending Sept. 30, compared with an adjusted net income of $15.6 million (91 cents) in the same period of the previous year. Revenue increased by 23% from the first quarter of the prior fiscal year to $344 million.
OSI is a vertically integrated designer and manufacturer of specialized electronic systems and components for applications in the homeland security, health care, defense and aerospace industries.
