Chief Executive, Co-Founder, Whatnot
Under LaFontaine’s leadership, social marketplace and livestream shopping platform Whatnot has grown to a valuation of $3.7 billion. He co-founded the company in 2019, which sells over 200 products each minute and has more than 2 million hours of livestreams watched each week. Whatnot recently expanded to Canada, the United Kingdom, France and Germany, with more than 500 global employees. Prior to Whatnot, LaFontaine held product management roles at YouTube and Facebook, and co-founded consumer goods platform Krafts, Interests & Toys LLC, which was later acquired by Patreon.
