General Manager, Disney Accelerator
Rosen leads the Disney Accelerator, a business development program that works with companies in the consumer media, entertainment and technology sectors, and previously co-led the Techstars Space Accelerator. In her role at the Disney Accelerator, Rosen helps The Walt Disney Co. to experiment and build relationships with growing companies, which can receive investment capital, access Disney’s co-working spaces and get mentorship and guidance from Disney executives.
What’s the best advice you ever got?
To trust myself. I’ve left stability more than once in my life, trusting that I would figure it out.
What’s your favorite movie, all time and in any category?
“The Game,” a David Fincher film … every time I watch it, I wish it was the first time I was watching it. But even though it isn’t, I can still experience the puzzle and meaning unfold, and it moves me the same way.
What’s at the top of your bucket list?
I don’t really have a long-term bucket list. Is that odd? If I feel strongly that there is something I want to do, I aim myself in the direction to do it as close to now as possible. Acting on the desire to try something new now means I leave room for new adventures I want to experience later as my knowledge, abilities and life perspective shift.
What’s the best thing about living in Los Angeles?
Insanely gorgeous nature, old movie theatres, John Williams and the L.A. Philharmonic at the Hollywood Bowl and theme parks in our back yard… I feel incredibly lucky to live here. I tried to leave once and traveled as far as Iceland, but still, I had to come back. I especially love the original L.A. movie theatres showing films that haven’t been on the silver screen in years.
