In 1999, Miller founded educational technology company Cornerstone OnDemand, which was taken private through a 2021 transaction with Clearlake Capital Group for more than $5 billion. He later co-founded, and now leads, relationship management platform Instil. Miller has worked in philanthropy for more than two decades and founded Better Angels, which is working to address homelessness in Los Angeles. He currently serves as the chair of clean-energy nonprofit Groundswell and the chief executive of AI software company Clovers, and is a board member of veteran’s service organization Team Rubicon.
