James is the NBA’s all-time scoring leader and widely considered one of the best basketball players of all time. He is also the first active NBA player to become a billionaire, with an estimated net worth of $1.2 billion. Fellow former ballers Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson are also reportedly billionaires. Outside the court, James owns a stake in the Fenway Sports Group, which owns the Boston Red Sox and Liverpool Football Club. He owns a number of Blaze Pizza franchises. The company is based in Pasadena. James is also the co-founder of SpringHill Co., a production company he started with Maverick Carter in 2020. The company, which was named after the housing complex where James grew up in Ohio, brought three other companies founded by the two under one roof: SpringHill Entertainment, Robot Co. and Uninterrupted. Earlier this year the company announced plans to team up with the History Channel on three new documentaries, one of which will focus on athlete Jesse Owens at the 1936 Berlin Olympic Games. James also started the LeBron James Family Foundation, which funds education and social justice causes.
