Thorrington is the co-president and general manager of the Los Angeles Football Club. The Major League Soccer team came second in the MLS Cup finals last year, after winning the title in 2022. The Los Angeles Football Club joined the MLS in 2019 for a fee of $110 million. Today, the team is worth more than $1 billion. It plays at BMO Stadium in Exposition Park under a 10-year, $100 million partnership with BM Financial, the largest ever for a soccer-specific facility. Thorrington was born in South Africa and raised in Palos Verdes. He played soccer for 17 years in England, Germany and with MLS.
