Director of Athletics, USC
Cohen was named USC’s director of athletics last year. She is the first woman to lead the school’s athletic department. Cohen has three decades of college athletics experience, previously serving as the athletic director at Washington. The school won 19 Pac-12 titles while Cohen led the department.
What’s the best advice you ever got?
Don’t ever let anyone tell you who you are. You are literally the only person who gets to make that choice for yourself. Own that choice. And live it every day through your actions, your behaviors and your decisions.
What’s your favorite movie, all time and in any category?
“Shawshank Redemption.”
What’s at the top of your bucket list?
More international travel! Anywhere and everywhere.
What was your first car?
1981 Honda Civic I affectionately named Betsy.
What’s the best thing about living in Los Angeles?
The vibe of the people. I love the energy.
