Buss is the controlling owner of the Los Angeles Lakers. Her father, the late Jerry Buss, purchased the team in 1979. Jeanie Buss took over the team in 2017 and became the first female controlling owner of an NBA team to win the NBA Finals. The team was valued at more than $6 billion last year. The Lakers have won 17 championships, including 12 in L.A. The team has also reached 32 Finals, which is more than any other team. Jeanie Buss is also the co-owner and co-founder of Women of Wrestling, which was founded in 2000.
