Lead Managing Owner, Los Angeles Football Club
Rosenthal is the lead managing owner and director of the Los Angeles Football Club. He is also a co-founder, director and partner at Ares Management Corp., chair of Ares Private Equity Group, a member of the Ares Executive Management Committee and the Ares Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Council, among other groups. Rosenthal joined Ares in 1998. The LAFC rotates its lead managing owner every four years, with Rosenthal taking over the post last year. Last year, the team became Major League Soccer’s first billion-dollar franchise, double what it was worth in 2019, according to Forbes. The team had joined the league nine years prior for a fee of $110 million. Rosenthal is also involved in groups including CHG Healthcare, City Ventures and Unified Women’s Healthcare.
