Born and raised in Los Angeles, Rappaport is the cofounder and chief executive of Westside Estate Agency, one of the largest privately held residential brokerage firms in the country, which he founded in 1999 alongside Stephen Shapiro. Westside Estate Agency boasts annual sales in excess of $4 billion. Rappaport has been a broker for some of Los Angeles’ most recognizable clients, including the likes of Larry Ellison, David Geffen, Jeffrey Katzenberg, Ellen DeGeneres, Tom Cruise, Brad Bitt, Adele, Tom Brady and LeBron James. He topped the Business Journal’s 2023 list of residential real estate agents, selling over $1.8 billion last year. That beat his previous year’s volume of $1.7 billion.
