Chair, Universal Music Group, Chief Executive, Sherry Lansing Foundation
Before launching her foundation in 2005, Lansing was chair and chief executive of Paramount Pictures. She assumed this role after working for more than a decade as president of 20th Century Fox. As the first woman to head a major film studio, Lansing was involved in the production of Oscar winning films such as “Forrest Gump,” “Braveheart” and “Titanic.” She was elected as chair of Universal Music Group last year. She is also a co-founder of the Stand Up to Cancer initiative to fund collaborative, multi-institutional cancer research. In 2005, she became the first female movie studio head to place handprints and footprints at Grauman’s Chinese Theater.
