Chief Executive, Legendary Entertainment
Grode was named chief executive of Burbank film and television production company Legendary Entertainment in December 2017. The company had already produced success titles such as the “The Dark Knight” and “The Hangover” trilogies. Under Grode’s eye, Legendary has continued in that vein with “Dune” and “Dune Part 2.” In November 2022, the company inked a multi-year distribution deal with Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group for Legendary’s film titles. Prior to joining the San Fernando Valley production house, Grode was an entertainment lawyer in the local office of Irell & Manella where he served as an advisor to Legendary’s Chinese parent company, Dalian Wanda Group.
