Emanuel continues to diversify beyond his talent agency roots. In April of last year, he announced a blockbuster deal to merge his company’s mixed martial arts giant, UFC, with World Wrestling Entertainment. Both sports businesses are now part of TKO Group, a new public company. Other notable highlights for Emanuel were selling the IMG Academy at a $1.25 billion enterprise value in April of last year, acquiring a majority of car auction giant Barrett-Jackson in August 2022 and completing the purchase of the Madrid Open tennis tournament two years ago. In early April, private equity firm Silver Lake announced plans to take Endeavor private in a deal worth $13 billion. Emanuel’s clients include Larry David, Dwayne Johnson, Seth McFarland and Tyler Perry. Two years ago, Emanuel also purchased outright control of the On Location sports hospitality events firm, and, separately, Endeavor China, for about $408 million. In 2021, the International Olympic Committee named On Location its global hospitality provider for the Paris 2024, Milan 2026 and L.A. 2028 Olympic Games.
