Co-Founder, Executive Chair, Figs Inc.
Hasson co-founded Figs with Trina Spear in 2013. Hasson’s responsibilities include product development and marketing, while Spear’s focus is on operations. Hasson received a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. After graduation she moved to Italy to run a high-end handbag company for seven years. She got the idea for Figs after altering traditional scrubs for a nurse friend and named it after her favorite fruit. She and Spear made their first sales from their car parked in front of hospitals during shift changes, and later at medical conferences. Hasson served as Figs’ co-chief executive until August 2022. Hasson’s accolades include being named in 100 Most Intriguing Entrepreneurs by Goldman Sachs in 2018 and 2019; Endeavor Entrepreneur in 2015; Entrepreneur of the Year by Ernst & Young, Los Angeles Region in 2018; and Top 100 Female Founders by Inc. Magazine in 2019. Figs has donated nearly 550,000 sets of scrubs to healthcare professionals around the world.
