Strickland joined the local office of Steptoe LLP last year, bringing with her a team from her longtime former firm Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP. Her clients include a variety of financial institutions, and she also takes on reputational risk cases. She serves on the boards for Center Dance Arts, Abraham.in.Motion, Body Traffic and USC Kaufman School of Dance.
What’s the best advice you ever got? Professionally, the best advice was when I started practicing law many decades ago – invest the time in your early years as a lawyer so that you build a solid foundation as a young lawyer and can build from there. As a person, the best advice is to keep it all in perspective; I am blessed with an amazing family which provides balance on challenging days.
What’s your favorite movie, all time and in any category? I am almost embarrassed to say that I love a good rom com and a (make believe) happy ending. “Pretty Woman” is one that I have seen many times.
What’s the best thing about living in Los Angeles? I am a native Los Angeleno and am a huge fan! As a resident, the best thing about L.A. is the ability to live in a residential environment with mature trees and greenery while still being close to the office and cultural activities.
