In less than three years, Weingarten has built Willkie Farr & Gallagher LLP’s Century City office from three attorneys to 92, vaulting it comfortably to one of the largest law offices in the county. As chair of the firm’s entertainment litigation practice, Weingarten primarily operates in the sports and media spheres – a strong combo for Los Angeles – as well as “bet the company” cases. He represented singer Selena Gomez in a lawsuit against a video game developer for its unauthorized use of her name and likeness. The Daily Journal named Weingarten a leading commercial litigator this year and Billboard listed him as a top music lawyer. He also last year received the Bruce I. Hochman Maimonides Torch of Justice Award from the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles.
